Awww thanks! I wish I would have held out for the VR (vibration reduction) version.....you never realize how much your hands shake when shooting especially when you are that close! Oh well next time =)

Ooooh very nice! Is that a teeny bud on a chive? Really nice! Doesn't look like you are vibrating at all. lol

One trick for helping with shaking of your hands is by creating a tripod with your body or arms. Maybe you already know this? If your feet are 2 legs, then lean against a wall to create third leg of tripod. Same goes for arms and hands too with these shots of small stuff. Works wonders! Kids move too fast to often use this but of you get the chance . . . . .

Thanks for the tip Val! I will always try to stabilize myself with anything available (lean on something, kneel on the ground, hold my breath, legs spread in a wide stance, etc.) I typically don't use a tripod itself I have 2 but just can't be bothered =)

This is probably considered in the chive family since an allium is the botanical name for wild onion.
